Color Archiver is a simple free tool originally designed to help Web developers to have a comprehensive yet easy-to-use archiving tool to keep their custom colors organized. Besides, this tiny application lets you grab, in the most intuitive way, any color present in a given website. This color can be “edited” to fit your preferences and stored in the program’s database for later use.

The possibilities are many, and the number of possible color combinations is endless. You can open the program’s color palette directly and select one of the basic tones available or bring that color to the Hue, Saturation, and Lightness editor. Here you can change the amount of red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, as well as the hue, saturation and luminosity levels to “create” just the right color you were looking for. You can do these changes using either the numeric values provided or a more intuitive slider.

Colors can also be grabbed directly from any image you found on the Internet. Just open the webpage, locate the image, and tell Color Archiver to capture it for you. The image will appear in the program’s interface, and due to its powerful magnifier (up to 16x) you will be able to even select the color of isolated pixels.

Color codes are shown in RGB, CMYK, HSL, CMY, and HSV format, together with their hexadecimal and Web values. If you happen to need to convert between values, Color Archiver comes with a useful utility to convert among decimal, hexadecimal, octal, and ASCII values.
